It’s now possible to bulk create both Video and static ReMakes, we call this Volume Versioning, follow our simple guide below to scale your campaigns even further.

Static ReMakes

Navigate to your campaign, hover over the chevron on your file, either static or video to see the file menu as per the example below:

Select Download CSV. Open the CSV file, we would recommend opening the file in Excel to add your data fields. The file will typically look like as follows:

The top line of the spreadsheet is the columns that correspond with the editable fields in ReMake. Title - is the name of the ReMake,  any subsequent columns are the text or image fields of the original asset.

The rows below the top line are the new ReMake fields, the more rows of data the more ReMakes are created. Add any data fields, like this example below with three new ReMakes found and 6 data fields completed:

Navigate back to ReMake and the original content. Hover over the file and this time select Create from CSV.

Drag or select the CSV file to here and click Next.

A Lightbox appears as follows:

Click Upload x ReMakes. A progress bar appears.

Click Done and your ReMakes are now created. The platform automatically opens the Edit bulk screen to review your new creations.  Here you can review and make any amends to all of the new ReMakes.

Click the chevron next to the Ready to Remake text to expand the selected ReMake. Amend any individual fields and click Update.  It’s also possible to update multiple ReMakes in bulk. Make any desired amends to all the ReMakes, then select the relevant ReMakes by clicking any relevant checkboxes.

Click Update selected. This will now amend all of the selected ReMakes.

To navigate back to this screen at any time, hover over the chevron on the original asset and select Edit Bulk. Please note that this will display all ReMakes associated with the original asset.

Adding media to your bulk ReMakes

If your original asset has images, video or audio elements that need to be versioned. Follow the same steps as per the Static reMakes or Video ReMakes but please consider the following additional steps in the bulk process.  When downloading the CSV of your original asset, the file will include columns that relate to the media fields.  In the example below, column F is an image data field.

When completing the new data fields for this column the text entered must be the exact name of the media file, example below has three png files referenced. It is important to ensure that the exact file name is written in the column, this will allow ReMake to select the correct file.

Before reuploading any files back to ReMake, the CSV and any files referenced in the CSV need to be collated together in one folder, like this example:

Always ensure that only the assets you will be using are compressed into this zip folder. And no need to worry about duplicating your file if it is being used multiple times! Our system will use one file and create the remakes for you! And compress into one zip file ready for reuploading by overing over the chevron on the desired asset and clicking Create from CSV

Upload the Zip file containing the CSV and any media. The platform will display any successful ReMakes like the example below:

Here are some additional tips for using the bulk feature:

  • We recommend using excel to edit any CSV files.

  • Remember that column A in the CSV file will be the new titles of the new ReMakes.

  • When adding replacement media to layers, always ensure that the exact file name is written in the column, this will allow our system to select the correct file and minus the room for any errors.

  • When using replacement content please gather the files you are using and compress them into a zip alongside your CSV document. Always ensure that only the assets you will be using are compressed into this zip folder.

  • No need to worry about duplicating your file if it is being used multiple times! Our system will use one file and create the remakes for you!

  • For languages that use different fonts, we suggest re-ingesting the original with the chosen font you want for export. It is possible to amend the font in the platform after bulk upload. The choice is yours.
